Notes on Fees & Insurance

Fees for 50-minute sessions*

One Therapist: $100/session (or less with a reduced fee or scholarship)*
Co-Therapy (Two Therapists): $160/session (or less with a reduced fee)*

*If you are experiencing financial difficulty or have a household income less than $100,000/year, you may qualify for a reduced fee. We try our best not to turn away clients for financial reasons, and have established relationships with a number of churches in the area to provide scholarships.  If you are in need of financial assistance you may be able to contact your local church.  Additionally, we would be happy to network with your pastor and church.  Please contact us at 570-884-4662.  

Many of our clients have also successfully reached out to family, friends, and others to ask for financial support.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

We do not directly participate with any medical insurance companies. However, we will try our best to offer you an affordable rate based on your financial situation, and also provide several possible options for reimbursement that you can explore.

If you’d like to use insurance to pay for therapy, please consider the following:

First, a therapist cannot bill your insurance unless there is a diagnosed disorder.  The vast majority of insurances do not cover therapy unless it is to treat an underlying, diagnosed disorder.  Once an insurance claim is submitted, that diagnosis becomes part of your medical record.

Second, check your co-pay and deductible for your mental health coverage.  Your cost of using insurance may be higher than you thought. You may also have the option to try to submit for reimbursement for an out-of-network provider. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement options.  We can provide you with an insurance Superbill (a special receipt of services) which you may use to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Additionally, you may be able to utilize an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) or HSA (Health Savings Account) to pay for your therapy. We may be able to directly charge your Health Savings Account (like a debit card), and/or we can regularly provide you with a receipt of services that you can use to submit to your employer, EAP, or HSA for reimbursement.
